Floyd Mayweather Workout Routine

Unlike most boxers, Floyd Mayweather prefers to be within 3-5lbs of his boxing weight at all times. For him, exercising is a lifestyle, not a way to get in shape for boxing. This is a guy who can run 5 minute miles, do 200 situps and 40 pullups and then have enough energy to go play a pickup game of basketball. Floyd Mayweather workout routine for conditioning is top notch and it shows during his fights. He will never run out of energy and can always go 12 rounds if necessary.

While many boxers begin training 3 months in advance of a fight, Mayweather doesn’t need that much time since he keeps in great shape during the year by performing intense workout sessions. He does bodyweight exercises, jumps rope, and plays basketball.

Within 6 weeks of a bout, Floyd Mayweather workout routine really begins. He ramps up his routine to include countless hours of jump rope, running, heavy bag work, speed bag work, and crunches. Year round, Mayweather also enjoys a healthy diet and avoids smoking and drinking.
