Jake Gyllenhaal Workout

Below is Jake Gyllenhaal workout and eating schedule that helped him get really buff for Prince of Persia.

5.30AM: Half a banana, a few nuts and an espresso

6:00AM: A 1 ½ hour cardio workout outside while dressed in a 20lb flak jacket to replicate the weight of armor

Interval training – 10 minute uphill sprint followed by abdominal exercises at the top of the hill

He repeated this series five times, ran for 10 minutes, and then stretched.

7.30AM: An egg white omelet, a protein shake and an isotonic drink

Lunch: Baked potato with tuna and salad

6:00PM: 1 hour of resistance training using cables to replicate sword fights, pull-ups, press-ups, ab exercises with weights and stretching

Dinner: Soup and a protein shake

Snacks/supplements: Two liters of water, protein bars, supplements rich in omega-3, 6 and 9, dark chocolate. No foods with refined sugar, wine occasionally allowed.

Jake also incorporate Parkour training. Parkour is the French martial art that involves leaping around roof tops, bridges, beams, benches, and anything else. He trained directly with creator David Belle.
