Part of being a celebrity, actor, or actress is building a body fit for the role. How do these idols of Hollywood workout to keep looking physically perfect? People become obsessed with applying the workout of their favorite star to their own workout efforts. People often fail to think about one important question: do these celebrity workouts and diets really work? Can you truly attain the body you want by using a Hollywood workout?
The physical Hollywood ideal has developed and changed over the years. After the movie The Terminator was released in 1984, men all over the country wanted to have the body builder look of Arnold Schwarzenegger. But today, you don't see too many celebrity bodybuilders; the look faded out with time. Brad Pitt as Tyler Durden in the movie Fight Club changed the way Hollywood wanted to see actors look physically. Pitt had a muscular build, a tough guy image, and low body fat. Then and now. he continues to set the bar high for the ideal Hollywood body for actors.
In the decade since the movie's release, even more great bodies have emerged from Hollywood. In Troy, Pitt built a body worthy of a god and blew the movie industry away with his muscle mass. Ryan Reynolds did the same for Blade Trinity, working hard to create six-pack abs for his role. The Spartans in the movie 300 were cast as muscle-bound warriors, led by actor Gerard Butler. Taylor Lautner, one of the actors in the popular Twilight movie, underwent a truly astonishing physical transformation for the role of Jacob Black.
Surely if all of these Hollywood actors can get such great bodies, there must be some secret out there that is common to all of the workout routines we hear about. The various celebrity workouts and diets are generally nothing like each other, however. Some of the celebrity programs involve circuit training that involves all the muscle groups while other programs focus on only one muscle group daily. The amount of time that different celebrities spend training varies significantly too; some might workout for only half an hour or so while some spend two hours or more working out. Some stars eat regular diets, limiting sugar and alcohol; others graze throughout the day and eat many smaller meals.
The bodies we see on the screen are all obtained by a variety of diets and programs. What makes this happen? Working diligently and effectively and never giving up. It's not their family backgrounds that give celebrities the bodies that many of us crave, although they do have a secret. Celebrities have money, time, and incentive to build the best possible body. Millions of dollars can be a very powerful motivator, and if you were made such an offer, you too would be motivated to do whatever is necessary to achieve your goal in just a few months, even if it meant sacrificing the comforts of your current life.
Celebrities have plenty of time to spend getting nice bodies, so they have a lot of room for error in their exercise routines. With enough motivation and time, a poor workout program can be combined with a doable eating routine to be more successful than you might imagine. Celebrities don't have to tackle this job alone either; they hire personal nutritionists and personal trainers to help them. Most of us average folks, however, will never have the money or the time or the personalized help to be successful with these routines. This greatly increases the chance of failure.
So, what can you learn from a Hollywood workout? Any fitness program will work for you with enough dedication, and that is about all we can really learn from celebrity workouts and diets. In order to exercise efficiently, however, you can't just simply follow your favorite star's diet program or workout. Instead of hours given to exercise, you might be able to commit only a short amount of time. In addition, what works well for their metabolism might not work well for yours. As an alternative, shoot for the look you desire with a customized workout routine, not just a standard Hollywood workout plan.
